Welcome to the Hunter Pain Clinic Online learning Centre

Hunter Pain Clinic is committed to providing education for nurses on the topic of chronic pain. With 1-in-5 Australians living with chronic pain, it is essential that nurses, particularly those involved with chronic disease management, are equipped with the knowledge and skills to ensure these patients get the treatment they need.

Chronic pain is a complex disease that is widely misunderstood and often neglected. Our goal is to break down this complexity through our online modules.

There are seven modules available for you to complete. Each module can be used towards your yearly CPD portfolio. We have included a Reflection of Learning Activities to accompany your certificate of completion, which is issued at the completion of the module.

The seven modules available include:

  1. Chronic Pain management: An Introduction
  2. Pharmacology in Chronic Pain management
  3. Psychological Support & Chronic Pain Management
  4. Exercise Physiotherapy & Chronic Pain management
  5. Chronic Pain Management: Interventional Procedures
  6. Lifestyle Habits and Chronic Pain
  7. Assessment of Chronic Pain Patient

The modules are designed to complement each other and expand your level of knowledge. We highly recommend you complete all seven. The modules can be completed at your own pace and at a time that suits you. As long as you start with the Introduction module, you can complete the remaining six in any order.

If you feel your workplace would benefit from a visit from one of our pain management nurses, please visit the Request a Workplace Visit page. We are happy to provide educational sessions on any of these topics or can tailor one specifically for your workplace needs.

So what are you waiting for ?
